Torah Curtain

This Parochet or Torah Curtain was commissioned by the Solomon Schechter Day School in Northbrook, Illinois for the K-2 Makom Tefilah. Designed and created by "Ritual Threads" a joint venture between Leah Sosewitz and Marsha Kasanov, this piece incorporates the rainbow image or keshet, just as the Keshet School is integrated into the Schechter curriculum and community. The children's blessings are surrounded by the world's natural elements and is a rich combination of textiles, beading and embroidery.
