Chuppah

This intricately appliqued, embrodered and beaded wedding canopy was commissioned by a family with the intention of being passed from couple to couple from one generation to the next. The most prominant image of two intertwined trees incorporates symbols of the 7 species which represent Israel. This farming family's ties to their land made their choice of imagery especially meaningful. The chuppah was designed and created by "Ritual Threads" a joint venture between Leah Sosewitz and Marsha Kasanov.
