This piece was designed for a Bat Mitzvah named Leah who read from the Book of Ruth - hence the image of the barley and the harvest time setting. It includes the well-known quote: Where you go, I will go; where you live, I will live; your people shall be my people, and your G-d, my G-d". This piece is also available with the name Ruth.

This painted papercut narrates the creation story in each of the 6 sections encircling a Star of David. Inside the star is a Hebrew quote referring to the 7th day of Creation, Shabbat, the day of rest and G-d's instructions to make it holy. The entire piece is mounted on hand painted paper evoking the outer universe in which our planet exists. Included are the name of the celebrant, date of Bar Mitzvah and Torah portion, Bereshit.

Using the tree as a metaphor for Torah (It is a tree of life to those who grasp onto it...), this image was created for a Bat Mitzvah reading from the portion Haazinu - from Moses' last days. The fall colors and falling leaves symbolize this closing portion of the Torah and yet the Promised Land and Israel's future is in sight.

This papercut was created for a Bat Mitzvah named Tamar - the design evokes the palm frond and includes the quote: "The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree (Psalms 92:13)

Deborah, meaning the bee, is depicted here with her honeycomb. A quote from any Torah or Haftarah reading could be included as well as English name and date.

The papercut image narrates the story in the Torah portion Ki Tavo. Moses and the elders of Israel charge the people instructing them:" As soon as you have crossed the Jordan into the land that G-d is giving you, you shall set up large stones. Coat them with plaster and inscribe upon them all the words of this Teaching." The Bar Mitzvah's name stands upon the stones.

The Bat Mitzvah's name is Esther Rose and her Bat Mitzvah at that time of Sukkot. Included in this feminine papercut are the lulov and etrog and a beautiful pink rose. Reclining gracefully on the stems of the palm frond is the regal Queen Esther. The name Esther Shoshana is intricately detailed in a delicate pattern.

The image of Daniel in the lion's den was used to create a piece in honor of the birth of a baby named Daniel. Included in this painted papercut is the quote: "So Daniel was taken up out of the den and no manner of hurt was found upon him because he had trusted in his G-D." Daniel 6:24 Also included is the baby's date of birth and Hebrew and English names.

This painted papercut was created for a new baby named Michael. An image of Michael the prince was used along with the quote: "...and at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people and at that time your people shall be delivered.."Daniel 12:1. The baby's Hebrew and English names as well as date of birth were also included.

This painted papercut includes special touches such as paper folded and glued to evoke a curtain in front of the Ark of G-d and 23K gold leaf gilded on images of the Temple implements. The vision of Samuel asleep in the Temple is enhanced with the quote: ..and the lamp of G-d was not et gone out and Samuel was laid down to sleep in the Temple of the Lord where the Ark of G-d was..."Samuel I This was created for a Bar Mitzvah whose Hebrew name was Shmuel.

From the Torah portion Shemini, this painted papercut shows Aaron blessing the people of Israel. The quote which appears in Hebrew and English is: "Aaron lifted his hands toward the people and blessed them". The letters yud, hay, vav, hay - G-d's holy name appear before the people as a reminder of the Presence of the Lord.This was created for a Bar Mitzvah and included the celebrant's Hebrew name and the date of the event.
